Aid For Effective change (AEC) is an indigenous non-governmental organization that was formed by a group of south Sudanese youth in January 2016. Having lived through the conflict and witnessed first-hand its destructive effects in their communities, we came together and joined hands. At the time we had been engaged in different humanitarian fields. Our rationale was that true change will only come when we, the youth take charge of our situations and be catalysts of change. Aid for Change was then formally registered and launched in June 2019 as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Yirol.
Food Security, livelihood and NutritionAEC implements projects that are aimed at enhancing the capacity of communities to improve their environment, and improve their capability to increase food production. We also promote indigenous knowledge and utilization of traditional foods
